Recipes!

So I noticed Alicia posted some dinner ideas from http://www.ourbestbites.com. I am always looking for yummy things and I was up forever looking their site. I think those girls are adorable and I am soo excited to try their recipes. I really want to try their layered greek dip- it sounds like heaven.
From Alicia's post I have also decided I should post the links or the recipes- hope you can enjoy them.

Creamy fish:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/broiled-tilapia-parmesan/detail.aspx -I used feta instead of Parmesan, but I do love it with Parmesan and switching up the spices.

Chicken salad

Quiche:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/spinach-quiche/detail.aspx - I use less butter and add a bit of olive oil, I never have the herb feta cheese- it is fine without it. sometimes I add the spices.

Jamabalaya:

Cook and chunk:
1 chicken breast
Brown:
1 lbs kielbasa sausage
Saute chopped:
1 onion
1-2 pepper(s) green, can do red too
1-2 cups chopped celery
Add:
about
1 tsp Thyme
3 tsp cajun spice
3 tsp creole spice
1-2 bay leaves
1-2 tsp chili powder
salt, pepper, parsley, oregano, basil
1 c chicken broth
1 large can of diced tomatoes
couple of cups of cooked rice
2 tilapia fillets
1/2-1 lbs shrimp

Mix well. Cover and cook till fish is done- usually about 15 -20 minutes.

I let Avi sleep the room alone and magic- she slept through the night- she momentarily woke up about eleven, but went right back to sleep.

  1. Isn't that site amazing!? Thanks for the fun recipes too! :)

Glad Avi slept for you! Ryker didn't start sleeping through the night til he was one. It was awful! He just wasn't a good sleeper. No matter what we tried. I think once he started walking it really wore him out so now that he is running every where he sleeps pretty good!
